What is the Queer's Gambit Chess Club? Queer's Gambit Chess Club offers casual match play in a friendly, welcoming environment. The name is a play on the Queen's Gambit, one of the oldest and still commonly used chess opening moves.
Open to all skill levels! We will have several chessboards available to use. Please feel free to bring your own chess board and timer if you have them! Age 16+ recommended.

What is a Trivia Night? Trivia Night is an 90-minute event where participants team up to answer questions from the host. Feel free to come with a team; we're also happy to help you find a group if you're coming solo! Although we enjoy some friendly competition, trivia nights are beginner-friendly, and you can come just for the vibes or show up ready to crush the trivia! Some events are 18+ or for queer women+, so please check the event description when signing up!
Supporting our community Every other month, we hold a trivia night for queer women+ in our community to gather in a friendly community space. We also often partner with other organizations in our community for special Trivia Nights, with a portion of ticket sales being donated to their cause.

What is Tea & Tales? Tea & Tales is a peaceful 75-minute event in which our host, Abby Moreno, reads aloud while guests sip hot or iced tea. Coloring supplies are provided, and you are welcome to bring your own craft materials or quiet fidgets. This event is 13+ due to the content and nature of the books that may be selected. This is a ticketed event, and the cost includes your tea of choice from our cafe.
Connecting through storytelling A read-aloud for adults? YES! Across time and cultures, oral storytelling has been an essential part of creating and fostering community. Sharing this tradition by reading aloud as adults and by gathering to hear others read can help us calm our nervous systems, hear stories differently, build connections with others, and feel uplifted and supported in a very difficult world.

What is a Storytime? A Storytime is a30-minute event where a volunteer reads one or more children's books aloud at the store. Afterward, children are invited to participate in a craft project. All ages and abilities are welcome.
Reading for childhood development Reading aloud to children is proven to build empathy and literacy and help children develop a love of reading!
Interested in reading at a Storytime? We need volunteers to lead storytimes! You can choose the books you'll read or use one of our prepared storytime kits. Please be ready to read two books to kids ages 0-7+ and lead a craft. Sign up at least two weeks in advance, and we'll reach out to finalize the details with you. Join Us Resource Fairs are standalone events to uplift our community, bring awareness to a cause, and build connections with local businesses and nonprofits.
What is a Resource Fair? A Resource Fair is a multi-hour themed event that shares valuable information with the community. Local businesses and nonprofits will be present to answer questions, provide resources, and share what services they provide to residents.
